Therapy for anxiety
that actually goes somewhere.

You've probably already tried the breathing exercises. The apps. The journaling. And yet here you are. Anxiety that's real and persistent usually has something underneath it — and that's what we're going to work on.

What It Looks Like

Anxiety doesn't always
look like anxiety.

For a lot of the people I work with, anxiety doesn't look like panic attacks in the grocery store. It looks like a very capable person who is quietly exhausted — someone who holds everything together, performs well, and still can't quite turn their brain off at the end of the day.

It shows up as a persistent low hum of worry. The inability to be fully present. Overthinking decisions that shouldn't be this hard. A sense that something bad is always about to happen, even when nothing is wrong.

Sometimes it looks like perfectionism, or people-pleasing, or being extremely competent at managing everything except the feeling that you're always one step away from falling apart.

Racing thoughts or an inability to mentally "come down" at the end of the day
Physical tension — jaw, shoulders, stomach — that never fully releases
Constant anticipation of what could go wrong, even when things are fine
Avoidance — of hard conversations, decisions, or situations that feel too exposed
Performing well on the outside while feeling overwhelmed on the inside
Difficulty being present — always planning, preparing, or replaying

How I Work With This

Below the surface
is where the work happens.

Managing anxiety is not the same as understanding it. Coping strategies have their place — but most people who've lived with anxiety for years have already tried the coping strategies. They're looking for something more.

My approach is depth-oriented. That means we're interested in what the anxiety is actually about — what it's protecting, what it's responding to, what patterns and beliefs are running underneath it. That kind of understanding doesn't just reduce symptoms; it changes your relationship with yourself.

I work directly and collaboratively. I'll name what I notice, I'll ask the questions that matter, and I'll be honest with you about what I see — in a way that feels safe enough to actually look at. I won't just reflect your feelings back to you. We'll actually work.

Sessions are virtual, which means I work with clients throughout California and Massachusetts — and wherever life takes you within those states.
