Specialty
You've built a life that looks impressive from the outside. But on the inside, it never feels like quite enough. That gap — between what you've achieved and how you actually feel — is exactly where we start.
Begin HereWhat It Looks Like
Most people think perfectionism means caring a lot about quality. But the people I work with know that's not really what it is. Perfectionism is a way of managing fear — fear of failure, fear of judgment, fear that if you let your guard down, something will fall apart.
It's the reason you can't stop editing an email you've already read twelve times. The reason finishing something feels less like relief and more like a brief pause before the next thing you have to get right. The reason compliments feel hollow and criticism stays with you for days.
Perfectionism often looks like high functioning on the outside. Inside, it's a relentless internal critic that never gives you a break — and it's exhausting.
How I Work With This
I'm not going to tell you to lower your standards. You care deeply about doing things well, and that's actually a strength — when it isn't running you into the ground. The work is about changing your relationship with that part of yourself, not eliminating it.
In our work together, we'll look at where the perfectionism came from — because it always came from somewhere. We'll get underneath the self-criticism to understand what it's actually protecting you from, and we'll build something more sustainable in its place.
This is depth-oriented, honest work. I'll be direct with you, and I'll also be genuinely curious about you — not just your symptoms, but the whole person underneath them. You'll leave sessions feeling seen, not just managed.
Sessions are virtual. I work with clients throughout California and Massachusetts.
